Beyond Meetings: Expanding Utilization for Government

The opportunities for increased utilization are endless, from effective training to command and control emergency response. Judicial, corrections and public safety applications are increasing at a rapid pace. Many governments are continuing to improve citizen engagement and create more efficient services. This panel discussion will include industry experts from careers of dedicated public service with the FGDLA and various government leadership positions.

iFEST 2021 Online Conference
The 2021 iFest, in collaboration with the National Training & Simulation Association and the Advanced Distributed Learning Initiative, will be an Online Conference, Virtual Meeting, August 31-September 2, 2021.
The theme for this year's conference is Learning and Thriving in the New Normal. There is no Registration fee for Federal Government employees.
A year of dramatic shifts in online education and training have made iFEST 2021 a must-participate conference for the distributed learning community. iFEST brings together senior officials and innovators from government, industry, and academia for this three-day online conference to discuss new solutions for the new normal.

2020 USDLA National Conference
The USDLA hosted their 2020 USDLA National Conference, as an Online - Virtual Conference. The based on the conference theme, “Grooving Around the World with Digital & Distance Learning in Music City” which will now be taking place virtually July 21 – 24, 2020.

2018 Government Video Conference & Expo and Government Learning Technology Symposium
The 2018 Government Video Conference & Expo and Government Learning Technology Symposium (GLTS) was held at the Washington D.C. Convention Center, Nov. 27 - Nov. 29, 2018. The GV EXPO is the East Coast’s largest technology event designed for video, broadcast and AV professionals. The GLTS, co-located with the GV EXPO, is sponsored by the FGDLA and included two days of consecutive sessions featuring sessions on instructional design, gaming, mobile learning, instructional design basics, video and animation design for distance learning, LMS integration, cognitive science, and much more. The FGDLA also hosted its annual awards recognizing Federal Government agencies/organizations excellence in distance learning.
